Best of 2013

Since the year is coming to an end, it is time to look back on the year and see what where the best of the year.

Beauty
-Naked Palette: I know this didn't come out in 2013, but it is the go eyeshadow palette that I have been using. I really like this palette because it consists of warm neutral colors that are great for any occasion.

Hair
-Wen SixThirteen:: This has to be my favorite Hair Cleanser that I have found ever in my life. What I love about it is that it is a Shampoo and Conditioner in one. It is very moisturizing an I feel like my hair feels and looks healthier when I use it. Even though this product can be slightly pricy, it is totally worth it, especially since for my hair type I only wash my hair once a week.

Fashion
-I will have to go for a trend that I found this year which is the Monochrome look, which is something I am trying to create my whole closet into.

-A piece of clothing that I loved so dearly for mainly the Fall of 2013 is this Zara coat. What makes it so amazing is that the faux fur lining can be taken out to make it a lighter jacket and the fur trim on the hood is detachable as well. It makes it great for pretty much any season of the year.

Music
- Alt-J. I recently discovered them this year in the end f August and I am glad I did. Their music is great and there is no song off their Album, An Awesome Wave, that I don't like.

- Lorde: She is another artist that I put on repeat. Even though Royals is her most popular song, I actually prefer Glory and Gone as one of my favorite songs. I can't wait to see where she takes her music in the coming years.

- Susanne Sundfor: I discovered her earlier in the year and re-enjoyed her later when I was in Paris. She has great music that has deep emotion and makes your inner artist or choreographer come out.

-Miley: I couldn't make a best of 2013 without Miley. She released her new album this year that marked a new period in her life. I think it not only was a great changing point for her but I think it was a great fashion inspirational year for her as well. I am not saying every outfit she wore was the best, but she always pushed the boundaries and made some good choices along the way. I am excited what she will bring in 2014 with her Concert Tour and everything.

Movies
-Wolf of Wall Street: This was an amazing movie that came out on Christmas. It doesn't make me want to change my life in anyway but it definetly was an intertaining one that showed a side of life that I never knew could be so crazy. It was pretty much like college life but cranked up 6 levels to a point that an average person would of probably died after trying to live that crazy life for a week. Given that it is still in theaters I would head out now and go see it.

-Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf's: This was a documentary about Bergdorf Goodman, the department store in New York City. I will have to say that it was a very inspirational one just because I am an aspiring Fashion designer. I do hope that one day I can have my clothes sold in there along side some of the top fashion designers of the world.

Moments
-Paris/Europe: my favorite moment was for a glorious 4 months. I was very lucky to spend my fall semester in Paris, France and to travel around Europe visiting Croatia, London, and Amsterdam. I learned so much about myself and the world. If you are able to travel for an extended period of time go for it, you won't regret it at all. It was a once in a lifetime experience that I will never change for the world.
